Privacy Policy

In short
Roll Anywhere does not collect or share any personal information. Everything you make in the app stays on your phone, and in your phone's own backup if you use one. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
Who we are
Roll Anywhere is an Android app made by KodaWorks. In this policy, "we" means KodaWorks and "the app" means Roll Anywhere.
What the app keeps on your phone
To work, the app saves these on your phone, and only on your phone:
- your settings, such as the bubble's size, roll animations and the long-press shortcut
- your dice: which dice are in your Upper menu, your dice colours and any custom dice you make
- your saved rolls
- your roll history, including any names you give rolls
- which purchases you own, so Pro, your dice skins and collected coin dice keep working without an internet connection
- purchase dates for supporter badges, and a tip-jar history containing product names, dates, quantities and receipt fingerprints to prevent counting a tip twice; raw Google Play purchase tokens are not stored in this history
We never receive any of this. You can clear your roll history in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app (or clearing its storage in your phone's settings) deletes everything it saved.
Phone backups
If backup is turned on for your phone, Android may include the app's saved data in your phone's backup to your Google account, so it can come back if you move to a new phone. That backup is run by Google under your Google account. We cannot see or access it.
Purchases
Pro, premium dice skins, coin unlocks and repeat tips are bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment, and we never see your card, bank or payment details.
To unlock what you bought, the app asks Google Play which of its products your Google account owns, and confirms each new purchase to Google Play. The app then remembers on your phone what you own (for example, that Pro is unlocked), so it keeps working without an internet connection. Google's handling of your purchase is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Permanent unlocks can be restored through Google Play. Completed repeat tips are consumed so they can be bought again; their extra jar coins and dates depend on the history saved on your phone and any Android app-data backup. Google Play's normal purchase restoration does not restore consumed tip history. The local history does not grant paid unlocks.
Internet use
The app works without an internet connection, and it never sends anything to us. Its internet access is used by Google Play's purchase system, which Google provides, to show prices in your currency, make purchases and restore them. That system is run by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.
Permissions
- Display over other apps: used only to draw the floating dice bubble and its menus over the app you are using. The app cannot see or read what is on your screen.
- Google Play billing, internet and network access: used only by Google Play's purchase system, as described above.
Copying and pasting
When you tap to copy a roll, the app puts the roll's text on your phone's clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere. When you tap Paste in the Formula panel, the app reads the text on your clipboard once, to fill in the formula. It uses the clipboard only when you tap one of these, and what it reads stays on your phone.
Crash reports
If you have agreed to share usage and diagnostics with Google on your phone, Google may give us anonymous statistics about crashes and performance through the Google Play Console. These reports do not identify you, and we use them only to fix problems.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and its effective date before the change reaches you.
